So we have this old 233MHz G3 laptop, Wallstreet is its name, and it is slow as Dick Trickle (did that guy EVER win a race?). Anyway, I see this upgrade for it and check it out on XLR8yourmac.com, it's a PowerLogix 466MHz/1MB cpu upgrade... So I popped that in, added 256MB RAM to the 64MB already there, and replaced the 2.1GB HD with a 20GB IBM Travelstar. Can you say i.m.p.r.o.v.e.m.e.n.t.? Holy cow, that thing is gonna be running X by the end of the day. Prices: PowerLogix Blue Chip upgrade (466MHz): $349 at Smalldog.com RAM 256MB 2-2-2 PC100: $49 at MacSolutions.com HD 20GB IBM Travelstar: $121 at AllStarShop.com Benchmarks are close to those of the new iBooks, don't go throwin' away that old Wallstreet!
