Stopping Sherlock from indexing my HD

    (on 9.2) how do I? I un-check it, and then close it, and then if i open it back up it's checked again.

    disable the "Find by Content" extension. i think that's the one.

    No, go into sherlock. It's in the prefs.

    i could never find it in prefs, disabling that extension did the same thing though (if that's the right one)

    no this is how it is done...

    Go to the Find menu, select Index Volumes, and uncheck the checkmark in the box for any drive which is checked.

    OK this is how to fix the problem.

    Buy an ak-47 :ak:
    Point it at sherlock's face :eek:
    Now say "DON'T CHECK THAT BOX!!!"
    Now he says "I CANT HELP IT!"
    Then u shoot him and he dies. :bomb2:

    I don't think that this solution is apple certified!
    But it always worked great for me.
