    Time to register this week:

    MBB 322 Molecular Physiology
Cellular and biochemical aspects of immunology, muscle contraction, cell motility, neural transmission, the action of hormones. The course will also explore the cellular and molecular bases of cancer.

    MBB 309 Mbb Laboratory II
Contemporary techniques in biochemistry including protein purification, immunochemical methods, and lipid characterization.

    MBB 323 Physical Biochem
Introduction to physical biochemistry including rigorous treatment of thermodynamics and molecular transport and interactions with specific emphasis on biochemical and molecular biological processes.

    MBB 435 Genomic Analysis
The analysis of entire genomes of organisms has only been possible since 1995. This new area of study will be examined in detail with emphasis on current research.

Including this semester I have 9 classes remaining to be taken until I fulfill my major requirements. I have two more co-op semesters and one independant study semester for my honors. And then some side interest classes for my minor.

So I should have five or six more semesters.

gg, two years for me. I should graduate fall 2007 at the latest. That's five years to get a bachelors.

At my college there's a winter session, and we don't sign up for the spring semester until... way later. I'm guessing in February or something. I should have two more years to go after this year, but since I'm transferring and possibly losing credits, it might be three years.

I'm assuming this semester is also called the winter semester at some universities... anyway, straight from my frosh primer:

    APSC 112 Physics
You will never pass 112 Frosh. You might as well just stop crying, jump on your bike, with its frictionless wheels and enjoy the momentum filled ride all the way home.

    APSC 132 Chemistry
This course teaches you not to trust that the equation sheet on the exam will have all the equations you need. That is only one of the many factors that will suddenly make you realize that Mother Nature is really just the devil in a bonnet, holding a bouquet of flowers.

    APSC 142 Programming
Ever got a negative mark before Frosh? Well in programming, it's very possible. A bunch of your friends will probably already know what they are doing and will take an early final. Here's the secret, this course can be learned in a couple of hours, so grab a friend who knows what they're doing and you'll save yourself a lot of useless work.

    APSC 172 Calculus
Ever wondered what all those extra buttons on your calculator do? Well by the end of this course you'll know, in fact you'll be able to do most of them by hand. If you thought integration was fun, just wait until it comes back, three times over.

    APSC 174 Linear Algebra
Some people will find this course really easy. You will hate them for that. "What the... ?" is your favourite new phrase. You probably know all about 2-dimensional space, you know the kind with x & y? Yea you probably even know about 3-dimensional space when you add that crazy 'z' in there too, letting it party up old skool with x & y. But in 174 you're introduced to dimensional spaces of higher numbers than you know how to say. Even more fun are the exams! Never before will you have seen a math exam where you end up writing more sentences than calculating numbers. Really, you don't even need a calculator for this course Frosh.

Oh, and there's also two year-long group projects.

    Tee hee hee university newbie.

Also I don't think you wrote "frosh" enough times. We had an orientation at our school, apparently it involved lame tours and free condoms but I opted out for obvious reasons (because it was worthless, like all the other university sponsored programs).

Yeah yeah yeah, I know I'm a youngin'. And yes, for some reason, they LOVE the word frosh. Frosh week was, however, ridiculously fun.

I'm graduating with my Associate's this semester. Since this is the last semester on this track for me, there isn't much to take care of in Spring 2006. I'm going on to get a Bachelor's afterward, but here's out we finish out the old A.S......

    ECA226: Windows Programming with C#
    ECA223: Java Programming
    EET257: Unix/Linux Operating Environment
