when I'm installing it, and it's counting down the number of items left that need installation. it gets to 400 or so, something called ARMlib, and freezes up saying I don't have the permissions to install it.

    any suggestions?

um, you'll have to run that permission fixing thing. I think it's like sudo chown g-w / or something like that. Don't do it if you're not sure that's what it is.

yes I'm logged in in OS X as an admin.

and where do I get the "sudo chown g-w" (I'll be checking versiontracker right after this post)? and why is it bad to use it if I'm not sure that's the problem?

No...i'm saying it's good to use it. But I'm not sure if sudo chown g-w / is the correct syntax. If I'm not right it wil **** up the permissions on your whole drive and ruin your install.
