Still nothing ground breaking (IMHO). I wonder what it could be? They just did the MP3 player, handhelds are apparently a nogo (and aren't groundbreaking unless it can natively use desktop versions of software, it could use the iPod HD and such), a tablet style computer has already been done (saw that on TechTV about 8-10 months ago runnning Win98), the 1 ghz mark was crossed a year ago.

What can they be doing that is going to rock the industry?

No ****ing way! It was totally awsome. The new iMac is better than anything I could have asked for. No new Power Mac blows, but the expo ain't over. Another keynote tommorrow on OS X, and Apple's hardware guy will be there. Who knows?

i kind of doubt there will be any more hardware announcements this expo. they have always done it all in one keynote.

Thanks. It's not easy being green. ;)

You may be right, but I can still dream right? And also Apple has been doing things different lately. 14" iBook and PowerBook CD-RW update less than two months after a major speed bump. Come on! A 14" iBook? No one, saw that coming, so all bets are off.

Yeah, one of the appeals of the iBook was its small size. Easy to carry around, small enough for airplanes and schools. But if they increase the screen size then it'll become like the TiBook. Too big to be practical in some situations.

It think it's still nice they're offering a larger iBook. Most users will probably spring for the 1499 12" model (Thanks for lower the price Steve :) ) 14" Version is for those who don't want to buy a super-expensive (So super-cool :D ) TiBook, but want a screen larger than 12." I think the new iBook is that rumored middle-line notebook people were predicting a while back. "Son of Pismo" I think.

I'm happy with my 12" screen. I wouldn't have minded paying a couple of hundred less though.:(

Oh well. Like I said in another thread, I'm happy that they didn't change any of the other specs.
