In addition to this board, I also visit an independent music message board. They are looking for more Americans, since most of them are based in England.

    www.audiojunkies.net

    You should go there.

    sorry.

That's pretty much all I do. I ran out of music quickly when I started driving an hour a day. I had to get some new music!

Unlike some people who are always listening to music and only not listen when they're not in the mood I almost never listen to music and only listen when I am in the mood.

It's distracting and I like to watch the real world which is why I don't listen to music on buses on stuff even though I spend two hours a day on them.

I'd be too busy reading if I didn't have to drive. I wouldn't be able to look at the real world anyway.

heh you always belittle everything and everyone who doesn't do something you're way. I don't always listen to music, but when I do I manage to look out the window at the same time. When at home it's just to test out something on the speakers, but I usually listen while I'm traveling... metro, bus, walking.

He didn't belittle anyone. He simply stated that his usual preference is to not listen to music. I am the same way. I don't even own an iPod and have had the same 5 CDs collecting dust in my car for over 2 years now.

You're reading something I didn't say into what I said.

I agree with Cow when taking mass transit. I'm the same way. There's just something about the cacophany of buses and trains that is very interesting. But I still love music, still play music, still listen to a lot of music. So in that sense, I'm not the same way. My biggest music listening time is probably while running, because otherwise I get bored really quickly and start running way too fast. When I was in high school I could get away with that, but not anymore. Anyway, music rocks

I can see how I mighta gotten the tone wrong.
Sometimes I like taking the bus or walking listening to music that relates to the mood I'm in, or before classes (I did this in high school too) I'll listen to something powerful like the bad brains to get me pumped up. Otherwise I like to imagine that the music is playing in my life at the moment, like a soundtrack or something....
