and it is brilliant!
has anyone seen it yet? I'm going to watch it tomorrow with a bunch of friends.
I saw it on saturday. It was pretty good, not awesome. If you haven't read the books you're going to miss a lot of the jokes since they do almost zero background explanation.
Almost saw it on Saturday, but I went to Sin City instead. My boss said it was better than the reviews would suggest. I'll probably see this this saturday.
I thought it was quite good, concidering that it could never be as good as the books
I only got about a third of the way through the original (it seems to all talk of more than one book)... may have to wait and rent this one (along with Sin City... I saw the first few minutes of an acquired copy and wasn't all dewyed eyed at the effects as everyone else seemed to be).
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
I saw it last night. it was pretty good, but the jokes weren't as funny to me since I had already read them in the book a few times. Everyone I was seeing the movie with liked it, even to the point of wanting to borrow my copy to read.
I did hear Ford say "b*lgium," that was awesome.
the yarn sequence was pretty cool
Saw a cam today... obviously that degraded the experience... didn´t like it though....
I think they did a fairly good job with marvin and zaphod though
I don't know what you are all running for, they're the worst marksmen in the galax...*ping*
I didn't really like marvin's look. I did like their voice actor pick, but marvin's head was too big. I think I have been influenced too much by other movies/shows on what robots are supposed to look like. I liked the eyes, though.
//edit: I mean ocular sensors
Yeah, the size of his head kinda threw me at first, but there is something inherently funny about a midget with a giant head.
"brain the size of the universe" = big head
well, it's not really that big. When he said that, I figured it would be multidimensional or have the capacity of the universe.
I always saw Zaphod as having two heads that sat on top of his shoulders. Maybe I'm wrong, but the hidden head idea was kind of off target for him.
oh, did anyone catch when the ship turned into Douglas Adams at the end of the film?
Yeah, I noticed that as well. Probably a tribute.
That´s how it is in the book. He got two necks and all that as well. I think the idea in the movie worked though.
decent movie... liked it.
I found my copy of the radio show and put it on my iPod. the new weezer album took priority, though, and I have only listened to 15 min of it. I'll be starting to listen to it again tomorrow.
