I am just starting to get into anime, and I was wondering, what is your favorite anime series/movie? What do you like about it: story line, animation skillz, comedy, cool fighting? If you currently have them on your computer, upload them to the server, so everyone can enjoy them.

    Anime I have seen:

Pokémon, Digimon, Card Captors, Sailor Moon, Ghost in the Shell, some of Escaflowne, like half an ep of Slayers, the end of Vampire Hunter D, The end of Akira, and Princess Mononoke. I think that's about it.

I'm not into anime much, just like DBZ, but I've seen a lot of different shows :).

I'm not into Anime at all, but those movies you listed are very good. I think someone who isn't even into anime would like those.

    Re: Anime I have seen:

    have to chime in here.
If you are talking about the dubbed version they are showing on Saturdays mornings these days, CC sucks donkey balls.

However, if you are talking about the original series (the one that Nelvana's bastardization is based on), it is pretty good. A little cutesy at times, but it had a pretty good storyline.

Most of my Anime exposure has been to the more feminine aspect of the genre (forgot what it is called. There's Hentai, Bishonin and something else I think. Though I could be totally wrong. If I am, I am sure someone will gleefully jump in and correct me) due to the fact that I was forced to watch some of it by my "little sister".

    I've watched

    Card Captor Sakura (the original)
Utena (rather creepy after some time)
    X (not the movie)
    Akira
DBZ (I think I've seen the same ep like 30 times, or are the episodes different? ;) )
    Fushigi Yugi
some show about a bakeshop and assassins.

just cannot get into the "all-action, light or non-existant plot" type of anime. Though I'm up for some good suggestions.

You know, I could just jump in and defend DBZ, but I'm tired of it. New episodes start airing on cartoon network (in the States, don't know what channel they show it on in Canada) next monday, the 10th. It's one of the hardest animes to actually understand, took me like half a year to really get into it. Once you know what in hell is really going on, it's really cool.

yeah anime people. i like kenshin (which i gave one episode to you), neon genesis evangelion(NGE or just Eva), Love Hina(a more adultish anime with no fighting), FLCL(6 episodes but good as hell), and Cowboy Bebop(everyone likes this)

Kenshin: Samurai warrior (kenshin) wins war kills thousands of people. Goes wak and doesn't want to kill any more. 95 episodes and 3 oVAs(movies) Lots of killing in ovas not much in episodes.

Evangelion: Giant mecha anime. 3 pilots. 1 male 2 female(HOT HOT). fights giant evil things called angels. Evas are giant mechas which aren't quite human. WATCH THIS FIRST. THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST ANIME YOU WILL EVERY SEE.

Love Hina: 1 guy 7 girls no more explaining

FLCL: watch it. pretty good and short. worth your time. funny has heck. Boy and girl alien search for evil alien power and boy almost destorys earth. story based around guitars.

Cowboy Bebop: Every non anime watcher liked this. Humor. Bounty hunter in far future. i never finsihed watching it

I have the first VHS of Lodoss and thought that it was great. My fav is Blue Seed. I watched all the episodes on Action Channel and loved it. Plenty of action with a fairly complex story line.

I have seen maybe an hour of Record of Lodoss War, and it seemed pretty cool. I'll have to go find the rest of it sometime.

Oh ye of 10GB of anime, share your bounty with those less fortunate, and so earn for yourself our gratitude.
