copying dvds on to an ipod

    can i copy a dvd onto an ipod? i tried mounting it to the os 9 version of disk copy, but it said it was too large, over 2GB.

    2gb is probably the file size limit. You can't copy any single file on to it if it's bigger. Probably some anti-piracy thing.

    If you copy it as a file it might work but if you're ripping directly to it it won't work. There is a good article on www.ipodlounge.com about using the iPod as a video storage device.....and why it won't work.

    must have a ripping program. i don't know of any specific programs for mac. www.doom9.net is an excellent resource for this sort of stuff.
