how do i put a background image on my site? I don't want the image to repeat is self. i just want it once in the center, behind the text. If possible, I'd also want it so that when you scroll, you only scroll the text, not the pic.

Oh, this is reaching back in time of html.

    it's <body background=link/to/pic align=center bgproperties=fixed bgcolor=color>

    That should do it.

This has nothing to do with your image working or not, I guess it´s :topic:.

I read your thoughts on atheism and I agree on many things.

That´s all. (You can go back to talking about the background now :nya: )

The pic doesn't scroll. It stays static for me. But it's still tiled and I don't know the code offhand to make the picture appear only once and centred.

Yeah it works right on the computers at school, I guess it's just me who sucks. Anyone know the code for it to be centered only instead of tiled? I like the way it is now, but I'd like to try it the other way.

One thing that I hate, is with IE on my site, if I don't let the pic load all the way when i first view it, it stays cut off whenever i go back to the site.

never works. for pics like the main one, i can click and hold, then select reload image, but it doesn't work for the background image, it doesn't see it as an image.
