I'm ordering an iBook. I already have Office X installed on two machines, desktop and mobile device, which is the maximum the licencing agreement allows. Since Office X checks your local area network for other installed copies using the same CD-key, I could not be connected and use Office at the same time. It might also be a problem if I was surfing the internet and someone else on the network tried to launch Office. There are two solutions to this problem: pay $500 for another version of Office (NO WAY!!), or use Apple Works 6, which comes free with the iBook. Has anyone used Apple Works 6? How would it be as an Office replacement? I don't get a Slide Show app like Power Point, but I think I can live with that. Need some advice.
