it's because you don't drink soda or eat junk food. you are so anemic, you can't stay awake because of how quickly you exhaust your energy supply

I went to a boring party here in Italy where every decent-looking girl had a boyfriend. What'd everyone else here do for New Year's?

I went to a pretty fun party where I saw a couple of people that I hadn't seen since last year because they graduated and went off to college. Ended up playing a lot of Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.

Going out looking for play has never worked for me. I had a one night stand once, but the conditions were so extreme and coincidental I don't know how I could do it again. Plus I regretted it a lot.

Girls in Europe are all hotter than American chicks :sigh:

I stayed up playing Taboo with the neighbors, watched the Times Square ball drop, and then played me some AOE3.

I went to Santa Barbara, CA and did nothing. Typical New Year's Eve letdown.

Also, these New Year's server problems are making me cry.

Happy New Year everyone! I just got back from vacation. Didn't do anything for New Year. Watched movies with friends I see once a year.

More like sitting on a couch with a cruisin' state o' mind, to be honest. :D

Dunno. I think it's just the "grass is always greener on the other side sorta thing." I always thought dark-haired girls were hot, but now I miss the blondness....

And how is that game, btw (AOE3)? A friend of mine just got it and I used to play lots of AOE2....

It's a 3D version of AOE2, with more advanced ages and siege weapons that actually make a difference against armies (i.e. cannon).

Same old game mechanics (get lots of resources, advance ages etc) with the added notion of "Cards" that you can use during the game to give your team specific bonuses after you've killed enough enemies or built a big town (bonuses like extra free settlers, or free resources, or advanced buildings and tech)

The graphics can go from C&C:Generals quality to HL2 quality depending on your card and settings. I use most settings on max, so it looks pretty badass, especially the water and combat particle effects.

I'm looking forward to getting back to school and being able to play WoW again.

Geeze. I just tried to a get a little info about AOE3 on the internet and it seems that it doesn't even go for the mac! You'd think that after the last few years game companies would start making their games mac-compatible... $%&!!!! Microsoft must be paying them off to convince would-be gamers that macs aren't the way to go. Really, really, really pisses me off. But I saw some of those screenshots, and I doubt that AOE3 would work on my powerbook anyway.

It costs a lot of money to develop a game for another platform and implement support for it. Also piracy on macs is pretty bad. In addition gaming isn't a huge component of the mac market and the latest AoE probably requires a really good computer which only a small percentage of the market owns.
