Man, that is ridiculously small. I don't know about any of you guys, but I don't have midget fingers. There is a point where smaller isn't better in my opinion.

I think I would have to hold one to see... I can't imagine things are any worse in regards to being to small than the text and buttons on my cell phone

I want top see what the next generation Macintosh computers are going to be like... The hub-bub over the switch to Intel has died down, so lets see if they put out some new machines soon...

In regards to Jake's "Toy Company"... I would have to disagree. Apple has a high-profile product that has invented the market, and they are capitalizing on the publics desire for smaller, lighter, better.

Is HP a toy company? Or Dell? They make all sorts of gadgets... Computers, printers, cameras, etc... Or any of the other companies

Apple makes basically Computers, iPods, and accessories.

I agree with Jake. Before the iPod there were PC users out there who had never heard of Apple... now everyone who has heard of Apple knows them for the iPod and not much else.. this is exacerbated by the fact that the iPod and iTunes are compatible with Winboxes and so some of the more ignorant consumers can assume that Apple is not a computer company.

My speculation mostly, but I think it has some merit.

Eh, I guess so... I always figured that people alway sknew about Macs, but always said, "They are slower and more money, so I buy PC..."

The Macintosh still has enough of a presence to be at least known about. Anyone who's been to Apple's website or one of the retail stores has seen them. If the iPod increases the Mac's visibility, so much the better. Good business to piggyback your products off of one another.

My biggest concern with the Shuffle and Nano is not the inability to work the controls, it's that I'd leave the damn thing someplace, like in my pocket in the washing machine.

I bought my wife the 4GB black model for her birthday last weekend. And other than a little bit of a scare when we hooked it up to the USB 1.1 port on her laptop, it works really well. She's happy with it anyway. Now, I've just got to get all the accessories...
