I remember it quite vividly because I restrained myself from pointing it out at the time. It was in the thread that Jaha deleted, I just went back to dig up a link.

When people are powerful for a long time they tend to get lazy in their thinking. What lamers the top brass are.

well, i have a crooked back, but i don't think that matters. i'm 21 and in excellent shape, perfect for the draft. i wouldn't flee the country, then i couldn't come back and that would suck.

lol @ that link. if that's true that is really lame.

Me, and we already have a game like that. It's called Microsoft Flight Simulator without the patch. The trade towers are in the game and you can fly into them with your plane, but they patched it to remove the towers.

There is nothing wrong with patriotism, the prolem is blind patriotism. Im proud to be a citizen of the US, but I tend to hate Bush and SUVs with flags. I will not follow mass media without more than a grain of salt. Supporting your country for the things it does that help others and the world is not stupid. At the same time, dont forgive for the crap they give us and stupid **** they do.

Yea, the people who go out and truly do something to make a difference. People who join the military for personal emotions about the US are one example of a true patriot.

That's very cynical. It supposes that anyone who has belief in their country is uninformed, as if all countries are chronically in err.

You tend to not die as much if you don't care about your country enough to defend it.

the very nature of patriotism is unobjective. it involves volatile emotions such as passion and pride.
