I need one so I can flash the ROM on my GeForce 3 so I can test it in my Mac. If xlr8yourmac posts my request for a copy of the Mac ROM hopefully I'll be able to try this soon.

Go to the website of whatever company that made your Geforce. They should have a flash program available. Otherwise, you will need to look for a generic flashing program. Try one of the gf tweak sites for a flash program.

i was gonna try it in my 2xAGP slot on my G4 (Apple says their GF3 requires a 4x model). On xlr8yourmac.com today I was reading that my 2x slot has 8 watts (or volts or whatever), the 4x slot has 20. They said that attempting to use a GF3 in my 2x slot on my mac would probably damage the board. no thx. :(

all platform specific opinions set aside, being fully functional cross platform (multi-platform even, Linux and stuff) is really a prestigious thing these days.

i can tell you from experience, the best way to learn is to do. I took NT4 MCSE classes last summer. afterwards i would get on a PC and I was like, "i have no idea what I'm doing!". It wasn't until I bought my HP and started using a PC that I really started learning. Of course, the classes helped. Working in the CompUSA tech shop has also taught me a lot.
