Almost every action movie is going to have Matrix style stunts in it now. It's a new standard.

Like Lucas raised the bar for special effects with Star Wars:A New Hope. That movie paved the way for many other movies to come.

Matrix developed new technology and utilized it with wire work in a way that had not been done before. Wire work itself is nothing new.

The darkness of the movie is Blade-ish. I think it could be cool. Almost a Romeo and Juliet of vampires and werewolves.

We'll see how it actually turns out, it could suck. But I hope it's good. I like vampires :)

Yeah, it's too bad he went too far with the special effects in Phantom Menace and AotC, proving that special effects are all he's really about. Somewhere along the way he forgot he was supposed to be telling a good story, too.

There hasn't been a recent vampire movie I enjoyed...they've all been, well terrible.

This doesn't look very promising, just like another Blade movie. And why do they reveal major plot twists in the trailer?

All of you should watch Hellsing, now. Blade is a wimp compared to Alucard.

I think the effects are better done than Matrix 2. Really looks like a better movie overall.

I wouldn't exactly say that he completely revolutionized special effects in Star Wars, take a look at Speilberg's Close Encounters or Stanely Kubrick's 2001 (which in my opinion is the movie that really revolutionized space movies and special effects for them) George Lucas is a marketer, a producer, but never a visionary (his special effects team was loaned to him by Steven Speilberg, who also was on set to help Lucas with his vision)...I have some respect for him, but not nearly as much as some others.

Hellsing wasn't bad, it wasn't fantastic. Then half way through the series it degenerated into garbage. The last episode is pure manifestation of "what the ****?".

I might go see Underworld this weekend. Looks kind of dumb though.

Watched Matrix last weekend, and Reloaded a few times over the last couple of days. I'm totally pumped for Revolutions.

Those movies get better the more times you see them.
