pretty good movie. good action. the grease fight scene was awesome... a truly original idea in a movie for a change. if you like action movies should see the transporter.

I saw it last weekend; it was very good. The grease scene was very... um "would never happen in real life," but it was still good and real funny. I wanna go live in his house and have his job.

Yeah, but critics say that about 90% of the movies, and only 89% of the movies really do suck. Not only that, but the movies critics recommend are crap too.

Bah, I can tell I wouldn't like it just from the ads anyway. Well, that and it's by the guy that made 'The Professional' was a big hint.

Well, as an action movie, I'm sure it was, but as a hitman movie it was lower than some others.

Now look what you've done. You've brought hitmen into the discussion. Disco loves hitmen.

I don't think there are many movies involving hitmen. I think you just have the perfect idea of a great movie about a hitman in your head and anything that doesn't meet your expectations is crap.

Which is what I do for pretty much every movie.

There are good hitman movies to compare to in different categories. For example...

    "Day of the Jackal"
    "Grousse Point Blank"
    "Taxi Driver"

gah.. don't make me think, it hurts.

You've seen way more movies than I have.

Before sixth grade I think the only movies that I had watched was "who framed roger rabbit?", "land before time", and "TMNT".

Yes, well, I had a sister. A sister who liked movies, and had individual taste. A sister who got free movie rentals for working at a rogers rental store for a long time.

    Best movie ever:

    Flesh Gordon.

Critics' opinions should be automatically dismissed because they are no longer like the rest of us. They've seen too many moves, become jaded and are no longer in touch with what we like. At least with most critics.

Yes. They give alot of comedies low scores because they didn't like the story. They forget the purpose is to make us laugh.

It's the critic's job to look at the writing, acting and directing. If he based every movie on different criteria because of their genre, too many movies would get higher scores than they should. The critic's score tells you how good the movie is, not how much you'll enjoy it.

The story in the Transporter wasn't that great, but it was fun, so it was made up for. From my experience of hearing criticisms and then seeing movies, I'd say critics are stupid.

I thought The Jackal was a good hitman movie, especially the scene where Willis blows Jack Black's arm off with his big gun :D.
