Terminal colors

    How can you make the terminal transparent? I can only make it colored, no transparency :(

    Please don't tell me that was beta-only!

    its a terminal hack..

    open terminal (duh)

    type the command "defaults write com.apple.terminal TerminalOpaqueness x" x must equal a value between zero and one (I suggest .85)

    restart the terminal application and enjoy the view

    I heard changing the terminal opaqueness signifigantly slows down the GUI because each letter on the screen now has to have a drop-shadow, which quartz has to render...
