    This is one of the epic argent rewards from the Naxx patch. My friend on Blackrock informed me that the casters in his guild love this thing. This trinket didn't impress me when I first saw it in the patch and I had since forgotten, but now the item info has been updated... it has a 1 minute cooldown. So it's basically an upside down zandalar hero charm with half the cooldown. Pretty damn good.

    I started gathering reagents for insignias last night. I plan to use this in conjunction with my ToEP to help on Rag where we are sorely lacking on dps. I should be able to stagger them like this during each 3 minute interval:

    Code:
    (ascendance first)
                1           2           3
    [color=red]------------[/color][color=blue]------------[/color] [color=red]------------[/color]
    ****        ****         ****
        [color=red]------------------[/color][color=blue]------------------[/color]
        ***               ***

    (ToEP first)
                1           2           3
    [color=red]------------------[/color] [color=blue]------------------[/color]
    ***                ***
       [color=red]------------[/color][color=blue]------------[/color][color=red]------------[/color]
       ****        ****        ****

    Yeah it's a pretty good trinket, in some ways it's better than ToEP because it's lag proof. That and it's tailor made for a one spell spam fight like Rag. I wouldn't use ToA on shorter casting spells like Scorch, but for spamming Frostbolts it's very nice.

    On long boss fights you'd be better off going with Briarwood Reed + ToA actually, ToEP is better for short fights when you want to maximize your burst damage.

    :p UBRS more noob.

    There are a lot of good blue raiding items. Briarwood Reed and Eye of the Beast will always have a spot in my inventory, blue or not. (Well, I MIGHT disenchant the Reed once I get Neltharion's Tear, but even then I may find times when I'd wear both.)

    I just got this trinket. It staggers exactly like the timelines I posted. I played with it for a while at Tyr's Hand. I like it a lot.

    Did you buy the mats or farm them? What are the prices like?

    I farmed some and bought most.

    You need 27 of each insignia if you are exalted AD. 30 reagents required for each:

    810 [Bone Fragments] or [Crypt Fiend Parts]
    810 [Core of Elements] or [Dark Iron Scraps]

    1620 total reagents at ~25s each if you get good pricing = 405g

    Or 1620 [Savage Fronds]

    I'm not exalted yet, about halfway through revered. I'm currently just working toward 7 of each to get the 18 slot bag.

    Those are more expensive because they work for both. It's cheaper to go specific.

    i have been farming the elemental tree things in Felwood for the savage ones, and have been getting a pretty good drop rate. if you really wanted to save some money and have the time, i would say go farm there for a while. Ironwood is the name of the elementals i believe.
