FWIW I'd have to agree that whatever we choose should be uniform...I think that [Mac] probably would be best

    Best To All,

I think [MAC] is it. I'm currently putting together an e-mail I will send to everyone that will detail all the things you need to do when you create your character. (name, battle.net server, etc). Expect it soon. [IMG]

Realistically, I think this tag should be as unobtrusive as possible. Is there any other way to identify a mac clan member from anyone else. I mean personally, I don't really mind [mac] cuz like some names go well with it like [Mac]Daddy. But what if its like a serious d&d name like [Mac]Drizzt or [Mac]slayer? Like the one I just mentioned [Mac]slayer or [Mac]killer , sounds more like a Peecee hater to me. And people would do that just to piss us off. I know peecee haters will try their best to mess up any mac exclusive clans.

Depending on how battle.net displays option-characters, some other ideas for bracketing:

    ?MAC? (option-shift-v)
    ?MAC? (option-x)
    §MAC§ (option-6)
    »MAC« (option-\ and option-shift-\)

    just some options *shrug*

    >> as you can see some of the characters didnt survive HTML, but that doesn't mean battle.net won't support them<<

Personally, I agree with that person up there somewhere who suggested that it be as unobtrusive and possible.
I really detest all those stupid characters in people's names like @)#*)&%&*)^ for two reasons.
    1) It makes it really hard for people to squelch or whisper to them.
    2) It shows that they aren't original enough to think up a unique name that doesn't require extra characters since someone else has it.

I think the best idea would be a clean and simple mac tag with square brackets around it proceeded by your character name, ie: [mac]cowofwar since it looks better than (mac)cowofwar and since {mac} is already taken.

See, it would be simpler if only the game implemented some form of coat of arms, or insignia, if you asked me... That way there wouldn't be such a hassle identifying clans. is it possible to paste some sort of minipicture in front of every name instead of a [Mac]? I don't know...whatever.
