    Hey,
Does anyone know where I can get battle ready armor and swords for a decent price? We have an amp-guard tournament in a month, and I seem to have misplaced my 600$ sword. I need a decent replacement, but no where around here sells em.
any net companies? The tournament will be in Washington, if anyone wants directions or anything, just ask.

Hell no! Blunts don't draw blood. Also consider that Az is gettin married in August. This is an easy way out! Just lose the duel. ;)

You'll have to excuse Dun. What he meant to say was marriage.

    Amp Guard is as follows:
You make a character and a background(Mine, Ironically is DunAzrael. A half elf/human creature.) You make challenges and take tests of will, strength, agility, and prowress etc...etc...etc... I have to ask a friend about the website, not sure, but I can email or post some info about it. The tournament is basically a reniasance faire with challenges and stuff. I will post more on it as time sees fit. :)

The katana is an elegant weapon, unlike the European medieval weapons, long swords meant for killing with the point, which lacks skill. A true sword master kills with the blade, this is the most artistic use of a weapon in my opinion. The Japanese have always had great metallurgy, and their weapons are perfectly balanced, their weaponsmiths must have been true geniouses.

bah, i dont like japanese swords they're short and straight.. i prefer the chinese swords... the longer curved blade looks a lot cooler and handle a lot better.

    Ahem....
If were gonna talk about find metallurgy and sword craftsmanship, let me whip out my thang.
Japanese swords:(shortest to longest with clay forged tang lines)

    Tan'to(haire ' Cari knife)
Wakasashi(assasins blade)foot long to two foot long blade.Straps horizontally behind back for outward-up striking motion with the least movement.)

Katana(Primary Kung pow sword.should touch the tip of the ground while holding it inverted at side. shoulder sling. often inveterted.))

Wikabashu(extremely sharp and long. often over 7 feet long.(polearm, can be attached to blade to form a ningpoh, or what is known in China as a war lords ally.))

The Japananese Swords, forged with damascan steel or pre-tempered iron, are tempered with clay on thick side for blocking and edged on other for the sharpest and most lasting edge.

    Like this:

------------------ >this side is tempered with clay for hardened striking edge.
.................. > the opposite edge, is not and is therefore allowed to be used as a cutting tool with "folded" composition.

Ahhhh, yes. the folding blades. :)
    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
My old sword was folded 16 times. ;)

    OGGAABOOOGA!!

    I hate poison ivy damnit!!!!!!
    (whole other story.)
