I'm currently writing exams. Will know in two weeks.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to maintain my 3.54 GPA. I need a B+/A- average to hold it where it is.

    Grades coming in

    Bisc 306 : A-
    Psyc 102: A-
    Chem 282:
    Chem 286:
    Mbb 221:

As long as the last three courses average out to a B+/A- average then I maintain my GPA. It's sitting at 3.5 right now.

    I hate those A minuses.

If an A is a 4.0, what is an A+? Why don't teachers ever give A pluses?

We run on a 4.33 scale.

    C-: 1.67
    C : 2.00
    C+: 2.33
    B-: 2.67
    B: 3.00
    B+: 3.33
    A-: 3.67
    A: 4.00
    A+: 4.33

I've only had one A+ so far, they're almost impossible to get. Like one or two people in a huge class might get one. You have to be like at least two standard deviations above the mean.

That's pretty much impossible in my faculty. If I switched to the arts faculty that would be another story, but these people all came from high school with straight As and then half were cut out in first year and another half again were cut in second. So basically you're competing against some pretty smart people.

I have the advantage of actually being able to speak english. We have a huge international student population.

And that's all of them. No more school for eight months, then I'm back into the grind for summer '05 in May.
