I hate my luck, i get back from vacation with Jeanna and I find that my dog was not let out at all while I was gone. He got into all my cds and ripped them apart, you know I didnt wanna yell at him, cause he was in the whole 2 weeks, but, when I started looking through my cds, i found my d2 case lying on the ground face down. I didnt dare to look at it, but I forced myself to. The play cd was missing and the cin. disc was cracked. :(

I just ordered the x-pack and was wondering the following:

When you load up the x-pack what disc does it ask for? diablo 2 play disc? or x-pack disc? If it doesnt ask for the latter, then I either have to give up d2 all together, or spend 70 bucks for new d2 and the x-pack. I am and have been at odds with life lately and have just seen no point to anything, other than Jeanna of course, but she works all day and sometimes night shifts at the hospital(nurse).... Oh well. It would be nice to have d2 working since I have 2 months of no work.

you should be able to get a replacement disk from Blizzard (I think I read that somewhere on their site) if not, I am sure that someone can get you a replacement Play CD. It's not like you never bought the game and are just pirating the thing.

Most likely Canadian Airmail Express (like UPS but not as expensive). Fedex is prohibitively expensive if you're shipping to a non-major hub (like $80, the gouging bastards). It's packaged and ready to go. I'll drop it in the post today when I go to town. White box, marked "Replacement CDs". :)

I sent it just now. I found out Airmail Express is for letter packets only, so I sent it Air Parcel. The guy at the till said it might take up to two weeks :( due to customs, etc, but I think it should be there about a week from this coming tuesday or wednesday.

nonono, he's talking about original d2. The play cd that was lost was the one from original d2. I havent gotten the x-pack yet. I ordered original d2 last night. Overall cost me 75 bucks for both d2 and Lod.

Sigh. :( Anyway, just keep the disks, no use you going to more expense than you have to. If you know of someone who's interested in playing D2, pass them on. Maybe we'll get a new clannie out of this mess... :)
