    me too. but if the specs and ETA are accurate that will be one kick ass card. i think it's safe to say it would be the fastest card out there when it comes out. i'll be upgrading once (if) it comes out.

    I wonder if nVidia will decide to introduce SLI with this new release. As far as I've heard, they've been sitting on 3dfx technology.

    That is the key word, sitting. Thats all they are doing to the 3DFX stuff, sitting on it.

    Apple will be demonstrating a new GPU at MWSF, but it won't be made by nVidia. Introducing the ATi Radeon 8500 Macintosh Edition. :nod:

    Oh, and one more thing... OS X will also include drivers that enable Vertex and Pixel shaders in OpenGL on all Radeon 8500 and Geforce cards as well as FSAA on all Radeon 8500, Radeon, and Geforce cards. :nod:

    Wasn't Jobs really angry with ATi a year ago or so and took out all mention of ATi cards in their new PowerMacs?

    The ATi/Apple relationship has been very good lately. No friction from what I've heard. Apple chose to go with ATi's Mobility Radeon instead of nVidia's GF2 Go in the latest TiBook refresh, so I think Steve has cooled down a little. Besides I think he's more upset with nVidia lately because they didn't deliver the GF3 for the Mac on time. It was kind of embrassing when he said Mac users would get it first, and then they didn't. I'm Steve used a few explitives. :)

    I just want the new comps to ship with a video card that isn't a freaking piece of shit. *cough*geforce 2 mx*cough*

    Ugh, PRO. PRO PRO PRO PRO PRO PRO

    Pro != gf2 mx.
    Pro == gf3 or radeon 8500

    I saw an add for a 1.6GHz P4 configuration from Dell on the back of Time magazine. It had 128MB of PC100 RAM and a 16MB Rage 128 video card and was selling for $799 with a CRT monitor. :laugh: I know Apple's new LCD iMac will beat those pathetic specs. 32MB GF2 MX (Why not a Radeon Steve?) will ship on the new iMac. That must mean the PowerMac gets something a little faster. Maybe a GF3 standard and a dual display 8500 BTO? I like that. :)

    If everything cost $1 I would be happy. Then all computers would have GF3's and 8500s

    Call it a psychic premonition. I guessed right last year when I said that Apple would demo the NV20 at MWTK. Trust me. ;)
