    Hello,

The 55th Unreal Tournament clan is hosting a petition to GameSpy to show them that there is much interest in an OS X compatible version of Roger Wilco in the Macintosh gaming community.

If you are one of those Mac gamers who appreciates having voice communication during gameplay, we encourage you to sign our petition and show your support.

    The petition is online at:

    Many thanks.

[If for any reason this sort of post is not allowed in this forum, I apologize - I couldn't find anything that defined this as inappropriate use. This is not an advertisement - just a grass roots effort to get companies to think about Mac users when writing great software. Thanks]

I never found it very useful. What's wrong with typing?

typing is hard when you're driving a tank

when i was beta testing WW2OL a few months back, RW was incredibly useful in keeping in touch with your commander/squad mates. Driving a panzer through a Belgian village looking for Frenchies to fry requires both hands!
I can imagine it would be helpful in any gaming situation where you need to communicate with team mates but can't spare the time away from your controls.

for lan games at my house, I use a set of walkabouts (the 2 mile-range walkie-talkies). This would be better. I'll sign it when I get back from school

Thanks guys. Appreciate the support. Please do put it as news! That's fantastic.

When playing UT, it is invaluable, especially in a ladder match circumstance. On a map with 4 different exits, it's much easier to shout out which way the flag carrier went than to try to type it... besides, you lose all the time while typing where you could have been catching up to them.

The reason RW is great is that it (at least was - pre-X) cross-platform. So, for Mac/PC clans, or just friends who play together, it made it a lot more fun. Plus, the ability to have a whole squad in the same channel is invaluable. When our clan had RW going, we were 5x as effective.

Thanks again for everyone's support. 58 sigs and counting :)
