Is it out? I was looking around the web and only saw it for PC. Isn't the Mac getting a version?
Silly little Gekko... the mac version was out at about the same time as the PC version...
Then why didn't i see it at CompUSA and why can't i find it online?
what do you mean you cant find it online? i have it on my carracho server
There is no separate Mac version. You have to buy the PC version, make a folder in your Quake 3 folder called "missionpack", and download the pak0.pk3 file from the TA CD. Incidentally, Macs can read PC format removable storage.
OMG... heh I didn't see "Team Arena"... sorry Gekko.... /me smacks head into desk multiple times

Whoa, how do you do this before i spend money trying?
Install normal quake 3. In the quake 3 folder create a folder called missionpack. Drag the .pak file from the TA cd to your missionpack folder.
don't worry, i'll post a step-by-step tutorial if you want...
I think you would need to patch to 1.27g or whatever the current version is in order to use it though.
oh yeah, zxcvbnm is right. You need the latest 1.27 point release for Quake 3 for Team Arena to work.
Well is it worth doubling the cost of the game to get it?
Q3 is like $40 or $50. TA is like $20 at some places. Not quite doubling it... but it does better the playability of Q3 by 10 fold. TA has awesome gameplay!
Why not just play all of the free mods instead? I'd rather play RA3 or some other much more inventive mod instead of paying $20 for a what is a relatively simple addition. Most of new gametypes introduced by TA can already be found online as different mods other people started.
