The PowerCDR is a CDR that replaces the tray CD-ROM drive in the rev. A-C iMacs. It is reviewed in the most recent MacAddict (May). You can find more information at www.techworks.com . It costs $299 and it is more reliable than a USB drive because it uses the internal IDE/ATA connections. It has all the compatibility of the original drive.

Did it get a good review or a bad one. (I'm too lazy to pick up my May MadAddict to see for myself [IMG] )

suck. (I just say "suck" when I'm disappointed and don't approve of something) [IMG]

it doesn't work with toast (at least, they couldn't get it to work, but I don't think they tried very hard.) I'm buying it anyway [IMG]
