Good job, that, moving the servers and not getting everything in place properly. Of course, they're just about to reset (so i heard), so I suppose they don't give a shit what happens...

PA moved servers, there old servers were 2 P3 Xenons on 700mhz(which are very nice chips, but think G4 price, times 2, at least) and now the new servers are 2 P3 800's.

The server load on the xenons was around 30% the 800s are at max. Hehe, maybe we should edit the code and add altivec support and donate them some G4 733s

Why would they move from Xenons to the other? Do you know if they were in a dual processor mobo? I can see how 100K visitors a day might kill a system, but to disrupt the game to gain 100MHz? I don't think there'd be THAT much of a performance jump...

    :(

Sorry to here that jake, the servers were running windows.

Now the reason the servers moved from xenons to normal P3's is that the company supplying the xenons went down the drain. Another reason why xeons are better then the normal comps even if they are running at 100mhz slower is the xenons have 1mb lvl2 cache, normal P3's have around 256k.
