Photoshop update

    The PS update 7.0.1 will not update my 7.0. It starts the installation wizard then it starts the update it asks me to locate the program. I uninstalled then reinstalled. So its at C:/program files/adobe/photoshop 7.0. It still won't update. I couldn't find any referances at adobe for this.

    I've got photos that I scanned in with PS 5. When I try to open them in PS 7 it freezes.

    when it asked you to locate the program did you locate it?

    Yes I located it. It actually already has the location displayed but says it doesn't see it.

    Yes, but its a burnt cd not a download. From the local Art and design school. Its not registered.

    Yes its expensive: $600.00 American.

    It's cheaper for "students", but still a hefty buck.

    That program isnt worth 600... Maybe 150...

    If you use photoshop as a major component of your business then it's worth it. If you are a personal user who just messes around with it for non-profit stuff then it's not. There should be a home user license like Maiya.

    GIMP is gaining momentum in the Windows world though and its free. I'm going to check it out soon.
