Overclocking

    Surprises me that it overheats that fast, just after the POST. What was it, a P4?

    That can also happen if you put on too much heat sink compound (like it did for me). I turned on my P3, and it beeped and dropped into the bios setup. Couldn't figure out what was the matter, then I noticed the bit about the CPU running at 93C. Ouch! Opened that bad boy up and fixed it quick. Now it's running at 32C MB, 38-43C CPU. Put a honking fan in the back, a blowhole in the roof, and two intakes on the front and side. Then I finagled a pair of fans, on intake and one outtake, onto my Alpha HS. With the rounded cables and the ram heat spreaders, it works just fine. :)
