Will the final version require Os9?
If you want to run Classic... If not, probably not, unless they bundle it. There's a definite, sorta kinda wishy washy answer for you.
So, if i bought X(beta) now and since im running 8.6 i could run X, but nothing in classic?
exactly. I don't think OS X even supports 8.6 for Classic.
From what I usderstand it WILL include OS 9. I can't believe that they would make you spend 129 for X and an additional 60 or so bucks for 9. That would be crazy!
Apple doesn't want people using os 9. They want you to use OS X. If they have enough people with os x demanding more programs then more companies should make more. That's what they want. But if everyone just squats and uses os 9 then it won't accomplish anything.
My copy of OS X will be arriving on release day, March 24th baby!!! I can't wait!
then i dont need to buy Os9
