i did two D and I's today (delivery and install). they were both new flat panel iMacs. they are so cool! i want to be cool like that! i was tempted to drop one off at my house and say some guy mugged me and took it while i was unloading it or something. :D

i need an iMac and an iPod, oh yeah! my 400 G4 tower is getting so old. :( but i have to save all my money for a car. i'm looking at financing a low end saturn cos they start cheap (11k US) and are reliable cars. i've got a good down payment saved but i want to put a little more down to keep the the monthly payments down. ideally i don't want to finance for more than 2 years. we'll see. it's all about the new car warranty though.

I think I said before I couldn't get my license because of vision, well it turns out that I can get a restricted license :D. No night driving, but it's better than nothing. Anyway my uncle has this old Aston Martin that needs a fixer-upper, but then it'll be God :nya:.

    $202/month

I thought Saturn had a $202 per month, $202 down deal going on right now on their smaller model. That's not much downpayment...

bah, that's prolly a 6 year loan or some crap. no way i'm doing that. i would end up paying 25k for the car by the time it was paid off.

or maybe it's a lease, and leases suck.

Leases rule, you can get a new car every 3 years.

Speaking of which, the lease is almost up on my Lexus =(
My parents said they would only pay the lease on my first car, so if I wanna get a new car, I have to get a job =(=(=(

you loose a ton of money on a lease, you put money into a car and when the lease is up you have nothing to show for it... you own nothing.

Seriously, leases suck fatty. It's like renting a car, what's the point if you want it to keep?

i agree. leasing is dumb. you pay the dealer and they keep the car.. something doesnt sound right about that.

Most lease plans have an option to buy after the lease is up, if you really wanna keep the car. But who the hell wants to drive a 3 year old car?

Cars are like wine, they age to perfection. Why do you think certain 50 year old cars are so valuable?

Because only rich people can afford to pay for all the gas they guzzle.

i have a friend who drives a leased 2001 (i think) toyota spider. he spends all his money on the payments. and he's not getting anything in the end. he owes me $20 too, he'll never pay me cos he has no money skills. he will always be broke. and the option to buy when a lease expires is a ton of money, not cost effective when compared to financing from the beginning.

Buy a japanese car from before 1992 and it'll go forever. In 1992 japanese car manufacturers realizing they were making too high quality cars and selling them for too cheap. So they actually cut back on quality.

I got a V6XLE Toyote Camry from 1993, and hell, the quality is the best. No major repiars of anysort, just a burnt seat from a bottle rocket :) . 125k miles. Leased it, then bought it. It disn't cost me that much to keep it after lease ran out. However, In 5-10 years When I get something new I'll look at getting a car loan from the bank.
