i just disabled post attachments. all current post attachments are still in tact. i disabled this feature because post attachments make up more than half of my database (~57MB out of 104MB).

if you want to include images in your posts you can now use the IMG code feature. upload your images to a server somewhere and post [IMG]http://www.domain.com/image.gif[/IMG] . this will display the image in your post. i have also enabled IMG code for signatures. maximum images for posts and sigs is set to 3 (to prevent image spam).

also note that custom avatar uploads are still enabled since they hardly take any space at all.

Use your iDisk. If you upload the pics to your pictures directory you'll need to use the following tag:
    [imgx]http://homepage.mac.com/cowofwar/.Pictures/image.gif[/imgx]

If you upload to your sites directory then you'll need to use this tag:
    [imgx]http://homepage.mac.com/cowofwar/image.gif[/imgx]

And remember, iDisk is case sensitive so if your file is named "Bob.gif" then "bob.gif" wont work.

Remove the x from the [IMG]

    NoooooooooooooOOOOO!

Don't put images in your sigs! If you have to, make sure they're small!

No one likes those stupid huge banners.

Activated HTML lends itself to abuse.

HTML leads to scripting, scripting leads to h4x0rage, h4x0rage leads to the dark side...
