I've read about half the commentary on the new siege rules coming with the next (tuesday) server wipe/update. One thing really jumps out at me, and that's the thing about buildings under the protection of the ToL being invulnerable. This is going to go a long way toward making small citadels the way to go instead of huge megalopolis towns. If you can only keep 10 buildings safe from raids, then you'd best only put 10 valuable buildings in a city. This could give rise to nations where each city actually has a specific and somewhat narrow purpose. I'm hopeful that this will add to the politics and make for more sub-guild run cities in each nation. Looking forward to this coming build again!

    wipe is tomorrow
Wulf what do you mean "if they do something interesting"? They as in WolfPack or they as in other players? I think with the new sieging rules, the whole gvg thing is going to get more interesting.

You know guys, the objective of this game is not a bunch of quests and stuff popped in by the admins, the point is to become a cohesive unit, build your town, be political/social with the other players, and fight as a group. If we get a core of active players going again, we have a better chance of making a mark with a small city in a larger nation now i feel. We won't get erased with no warning with the new sieging timers and phases. We can get our sovereign involved and still maintain a somewhat independent city.

All that is required is some people make a few concessions for the group. I.e. don't play an Irekei if everyone else is human. Limited protection slots in the tree combined with a small membership will mean we will only have 6 or 8 buildings, so we'll have to travel a bit to train, but we can keep our most useful trainers and shops local. We can build those few buildings, ring them with 2 or even 3 sets of walls, provide a couple of high level trainers for our sovereign and our own use.

If anyone is serious about making a push to participate on a more cohesive level this build, let's talk about what kind of guild, trainers, and shops we'd do best to have, what nations we like from previous builds and who we might hook up with, etc.

So you level until you're high. Then you sit around pking people until you start a war. Once a war is started you siege their base and they siege your base until one of your cities crumbles. Then you gather gold, rebuild and repeat the process.

    OKAY SOUNDS FUN GUYS.

This new system encourages race-specific sub-guilds much more. Purity Council was a huge legion / guild. Now with this thing going on you'll get like 5 towns to a nation instead of 1 or 2 big cities, but they'll be race-specific more than likely.

hm yeah this appears to be correct as the maintenance today did not result in a wipe.
