are the extras good on the super special edition? I might get it and take my old one to GameStop (or give it to one of my friends)

They help to answer some questions people might have with the movie. I would say they add something to it, and if you can, its worth getting.

Even though i wish the industry would stop stepping on the nuts of classic movies... the new War of the Worlds looks like it could be very good

I just have to say... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was brilliant. I was hesitant at first, but once I adapted to Depp's character I thoroughly enjoyed it. Double Plus Golden Star for that one...

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was good. You really have to "not" compare the two. It's imperative to the enjoyment of the new film not to say, well, wait a minute, Willy Wonka didn't say that in the original, or that's not how it went, and where's this part? I thought both interpretations were almost equally as brilliant, but decidedly different from each other.

Someone said it stayed truer to the book, but I haven't read the book for a long time. All I noticed was the lyrics to the Oompa-Loompa songs were written by Roald Dahl.

    BTW, the Oompa-Loompas sucked.

One oompa played the part of all of them.

So, I guess you didn't like the book? I thought it was pretty good... I usually don't stray from SciFi/Fantasy, but I read that book and enjoyed it.

My mom says it's about religion and that it challenges New Testiment stuff. Spockirk is Christian so maybe that's why he doesn't like it. That would be understandable.

    I haven't read it.

I read it and found it entertaining... though I don't like that it tries to play off everything as being completely accurate. It isn't.

Yeah you really have to take it with a grain of salt. I read it and enjoyed it as a good story, very creative, but I knew that Brown took a lot of liberties. It's just a story.

Actually I thought Angels & Demons, the prequel to Code, was a better book.
