Bah, it will be full once the new 10,000 enter. Just as bad as the old one.

There's already well over 10,000 in though, so overall the player / server ratio should go down.

They're letting in another 20,000 players over the next few weeks.

Supposedly it's all stress test now, so bad pings will be the norm.

I was just playing on Carnage though, 250 players on, pings of around 100. It played liquid smooth, I was able to chain spells one after the other with my new Mage, and there was absolutely no latency at all. I simply kept casting Mage Bolt until my mana was totally drained, this taking only about a minute to accomplish (and I have 97 mana).

I logged back to Aerynth with my Rogue to just see how things were. About 1000 players on and 170 ping. I didn't play at all though, so I can't give a description as to how 170 ping translates into smoothness of gameplay.

For now, things are looking good.

Latency on Aerynth this morning, with 1200 people on, was definitely noticable, but manageable. It's much more playable than two days ago.

Is anyone else having troubles with the Mac client? I still can't get in. I launch SB, get all the way to loading the world, sometimes even get the sounds starting, then it crashes. This has happened every time for the last week or so.

The character list server is having serious issues :noid:. Playability is great though once you get on. There is absolutely zero latency on Carnage.

I actually managed to get on today. It did work well. I still don't see enough reason to buy it though. Kill or be killed doesn't float my boat. Hopefully they will add some content - like Cow said.

It's a weekend, that's to be expected. I think the stress testing is going to continue until the release, so don't expect good lag. Each game server is a single box anyway, they're not clustered. I expect that at release there will either be plenty of game servers, or each server will be clustered to avoid the kind of CPU-intensive latency the game has been plagued by (timers are the main cause of "lag" right now).

 I'll wait a few days and see which server has the least players on it.

They should use nicer names for the server. Like "Sally".

You can be peaceful in SB, right? They need their own server! "Sally!"
