Yeah, its the only reason I can't reccomend my company pick up a bunch, since we use Helix all the time. Otherwise a great machine!

That is super gay. The Macintosh that I know is now completely dead, both in OS and in architecture.

Yes. 1.9.3 is supposed to be the first universal release.

meh. Doesn't affect me at all. I can't remember the last time I needed classic for anything. I'm comfortable with X, I use the terminal as needed - I used a UNIX box for years at Intel. I have a lot of old games that I can't play now - but I haven't played them for years anyway. Office works fine - as does iWork of course. Firefox works, and the iLife stuff covers most of the non game programs I use anyway. If you are a pro user - you can't early adopt new OSes or architectures most of the time anyway. (cough Quark cough)

I like that it is quieter than my iBook though. :) I don't like the "mighty mouse" - I'm keeping my logitech mouse that I've had for a couple of years.

the death of OS9 is nothing to cry about... OSX is much better.

I haven't looked into the whole OSX (Motorola) vs OSX (Intel) for application support, yet...

It's true I am one of the few OS 9 fans, but compatibility is important.
