    My PC is stable as a rock now that I've actually installed the newer ATA133 driver. My old Mac crashed a few times though. All computers do given enough time.

    I wouldn't say that about Linux in general. You can talk about Linux distributions that actually advertise, which I know RedHat does. Distributions like Slackware and Debian don't try to be mainstream, they're designed for the user who likes that type of environment.

    My iMac crashes severla timas a day. You get used to it.

    hrm. my iMac has been up for about 2 months straight, no crashes.
    my pc (win2k) has some problems every once in a while, slowdown etc. but it stays up for a while too

    Yeah my Dual G4 B&W w/ osX crashes all the time. I dont know why, but i've grown acustom to it. The dreaded grey box of death, as i call it.

    as in an upgraded G3 tower? the 3rd party CPUs could be the problem.

    Its not 3rd party cpu and its not an upgrade. Crap im using a G3 biege now because my Dual G4 keeps on freezing up after about 5 minutes. Not the dreaded grey screen but actually freezing, i thought it didnt freeze in osX. I guess i just break down and take it into the shop. Unless you have any other sugestions? listening...

    Yes, you can get a G4 cpu upgrade.

    Sorry, when i said B&W i meant black(graphite) and white. But it doesn't matter because i got it to work. I just showed the p-ram whoose boss. I just shocked it, it worked. Thanks anyways. I cant believe i didnt think of it earlier.
