Linux PPC installation woes

    I will not install on my computer... I set up the drives like it says, then it makes me mount them as something before it will let me install the files... so it starts installing the files, then it says it can't install anything.... anyone help me out here... the documentation doesn't say what to mount the drives as in the installer.... ( in the little box next to format | mount )

    Maybe it wants you to mount it as the root directory, "/"

    tried that... no go... hmm any other ideas... (btw it made me make 4 partitions... /boot,/home,/, and swap) should I mount all of them or just root?

    I would just try root. If not that, then boot or home. I'm not really sure whats happening though.

    Well, i got it to work.... i had to go to the online installer help to find out that even when i make clean partitions, it nneeds to make its own... wish me luck, and where can i find some linux voodoo 5 drivers?

    hmmm no drivers, and I can't boot into linux for some reason... weird...

    Well, you can just use the basic svga x server, but that won't help you if you were thinking about playing a round of ut.
