Anyone having problems with Limewire? As in having any Limewire
servers be very unreliable, even downloading off of mactella I tend to avoid
Limewire servers because I just can't keep a good connection.

Also the program itself seems to have issues with my computer it tends to
almost lock up (meaning the mouse still moves and it will eventually stop)
but it is very annoying while during a search, or downloading, or doing
anything besides just staring at my screen. Is the OS X version any better?
maybe i need to get that new harddrive and finally install this damn thing.

limewire is unique. it can download a file from multiple servers simultaneously which makes overall download speed very fast. make sure you have your max connections set high. if they are set at 4 or below you may experience slow and unreliable downloads since the server redundancy (sp?) isn't being used to its full capacity.

also, limewire is definately a resource hog... on any platform. this is simply because it is establishing maintaining multiple network streams all the time. that's why you may notice that your system boggs down when limewire is running.
