As is the case with many new apple products, it looks weird. I will have to use one before making a judgment.

whoa. I have been waiting for an actual scroll ball for a long time, much better than M$'s evil tilt-wheel.

As with the 3g iPod, I think that a touch-sensitive mouse will likely fail. I like to keep my fingers on the buttons all the time, not have to hold them up.

It looks like this could have a one-button mode for the education market and such. That little bit of flexibility might mean a lot.

Finally apple's getting in tune with things. I've heard from sources in Apple that the mouse issue was a holy war in the company, simplicity/aesthetics vs. functionality. Looks like one side won a battle.

It looks like a compromise to me. It's definitely heavily stylized and if it works as described it will be pretty cool. You'll never get me to give up my logitech dual optical mouseman though. That is one quality mouse.

Apparently the new mouse doesn't click and has a little speaker inside that makes a click sound when you do tap it. I kind of like the mechanical feedback though and I suppose instead of just depressing the button to click you have to raise both fingers and drop one. Sounds like more work.

Hmm, may have to head to the Apple Store to investigate this...

    Mighty Mouse

Kinda cool... Like the touch button to rotate the mouse up-down, left or right.
