Several people have requested that I post a wiki. It feels weird creating my own wiki page, so I am posting it here for people to read.

    __________

Jaden is a gnome mage on the Hyjal server.

    Character History:
Jaden was originally going to be a dwarf mage, but then Blizzard removed dwarf mages during the alpha and he became a gnome.

Jaden played in the 1.0 open beta in Fall 2004. The name Jaden was already taken so he used the alternate name Judan. Here are some pictures of him from the open beta:

You will note the different hair style he used in open beta. This was his original hair style but he decided to switch to the mullet for retail because too many people were using his hair style. The mullet seemed the ugliest and least popular so it was the best choice for uniqueness.

Jaden started playing 1.0 retail on day one (Nov 23, 2004).

Jaden's name was inspired by a character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, "Thine Own Self" (season 7, episode 16).

    Jaden's Guild:
Jaden formed his guild (<MSC>) one week after launch on Nov 30, 2004:

MSC stands for macsubculture.com which was the original name of his website which later turned gaming clan. Here is a copy/paste of the clan history from http://www.mscclan.com/ :

    > This site started out as a personal Mac gaming site back in 1995. Some
    > of the old revisions of the site can be seen here. The site grew slowly
    > over the first few years. I didn't get a message board, "real" hosting,
    > or a domain name until ~1999. My first domain was mac-gamer.com.
    >
    > I started a clan for Diablo 2 in early 2000, before the game came out.
    > About a month before Diablo 2 came out, I submitted news of our Diablo 2
    > clan to IMG and Macgamer. From those news posts I got about 200 signups,
    > a handful of which stayed and became our active member base.
    >
    > Since the creation of our gaming clan, the site has changed focus a
    > couple of times, from a personal Mac gaming site (mac-gamer.com), to a
    > general Mac site (macsubculture.com), to what it is now which is just the
    > gaming clan (mscclan.com). The clan tag also changed once along with the
    > site... we started with MAC (The Myriad of Allied Clansmen) but later
    > changed to MSC (MacSubCulture) to go with the domain name we were using
    > for a while. We are using MSC now, but the acronym has lost some of its
    > previous meaning because we have gradually become a Mac AND PC gaming
    > clan.
    >
    > As Diablo 2 gradually got old, we tried splitting off into multiple games
    > including Warcraft 3, Starcraft, Planetarion, Lineage, and Shadowbane,
    > but none of those "divisions" were very successful because this clan has
    > always been a Diablo 2 clan at its roots. World of Warcraft looks to be
    > the next big game, and so I am devoting all of my efforts to that end.

<MSC> is a casual guild that does not raid. Jaden was often pressured to raid in 1.0 but he doesn't like serious raiding. As a result <MSC> slowly died off as its members reached max level and left for raid guilds. Jaden stopped inviting new members after a couple years because he was tired of being used as a leveling platform. The member base went stale and now Jaden is the only active member left in <MSC>. Here is some more info on this:

    Playtime:
As of this post Jaden has 612 days of playtime.

    Celebrity:
Jaden is a minor celebrity on Hyjal because he is so old and because he stands by the bridge in Ironforge all day.

    Bridge:
Jaden started standing by the bridge in Ironforge a few months after release. Actually there was another gnome named Ganks who used to stand a few yards away from the bridge. Jaden assumed the nearby position right next to the bridge and that became his idling spot. Jaden works online from home in real life so he often idles by the bridge all day.

    Professions:
Jaden started out as a tailor / skinner back in 1.0. The skinning was just to make money farming gorillas in STV in order to pay for his first mount at lvl 40. Then later he dropped skinning and became a tailor / enchanter. He has been a tailor enchanter ever since and he is known for having rare old 1.0 recipes like +4 stats to chest and the Bottomless Bag.

Jaden bought the Bottomless Bag recipe back in 1.0 for 2900g from two members of <Evolve>, Cowslayer and Ankhart. He made good business making that bag for people.

Jaden bought the +4 stats to chest recipe from Midnitestark for 1000g. He made good business on that one too.

    Spec History:
Jaden was originally an arcane mage. Then during 1.0 he changed to arcane/fire (pom pyro) for pvp and raiding. Then he changed to arcane/frost and eventually to raiding frost (frost/arcane) in the middle of 1.0. Jaden has been raiding frost spec ever since.

Jaden dislikes RNG and procs. So he now boycotts RNG and procs in his specs at the expense of dps.

    PvP:
During 1.0 Jaden pvped for several weeks nonstop to achieve Marshal rank. He decided not to go higher than Marshal because he didn't particularly need the Field Marshal armor, and Grand Marshal was too hard to achieve.

    Raiding History:
Jaden doesn't raid as a guild with <MSC>. Rather he joins other people's raids while remaining in <MSC>.

In 1.0 he raided with HGA (Hyjal Guild Alliance) which was a PUG raid that maintained a DKP system. HGA later became BAH (Brave Adventurers of Hyjal) which was also a PUG raid. Here are some other groups he used to run with:

    http://www.mscclan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10615

In 2.0 BAH died out. Jaden started raiding with a two guild coop between <Drunk and Dangerous> and <Harbingers or Sarcasm>, two guilds which had many members from the old BAH days. In 2.0 Jaden also started doing old world raids (usually with Radamanthus leading). He has continued to do old world stuff ever since.

In 3.0 Jaden didn't raid. But he did Ulduar for a short time with <Drunk and Dangerous> and <Harbingers or Sarcasm>.

    Notable Facts:
Jaden collects old stuff and currently has all mage tiers 0-6. He is most recognized for having completed the tier3 mage set from Naxx60 and for having an Atiesh.

Jaden has never belonged to a raid guild. He has always been in his own (now inactive) guild <MSC>. He does all of his raiding with PUGs.

Jaden does very little progression raiding. He mostly raids stuff from previous expansions. All of his old tier sets were obtained when those sets were no longer progression.

    Jaden hates the achievement system.

Jaden used to like debating on forums. Here are some of his early engagements:

    http://www.mscclan.com/ss/
    http://www.mscclan.com/wsf/
    http://www.mscclan.com/bah/

Here is a notable thread from a year before WoW's release, where Jaden (posting as msc_Jakeman) was petitioning on the bnet forums to allow a player to affiliate with the other faction (e.g. a Horde Human). This was an attempted compromise to allow interaction between factions while still maintaining the boundaries that Blizzard had announced:

    http://www.mscclan.com/factions/

Jaden never leaves a raid before it's called. Ever. He is die hard about not abandoning raids and groups.

Back in 1.0 Jaden was known by his raid groups for always showing up to raids early to give out water and food to everyone (this was before water fountains).

Jaden was one of the first people on Hyjal to get a cross-faction mount. When he reached level 60 he didn't want an epic Mechanostrider, so he ground out his Ironforge rep to get a Ram as his first epic mount. He wanted a Ram because it was the ugliest and least popular mount.

In 1.0 Jaden devised an early form of GDKP whereby he would contract with raid guilds to bring him along so he could buy loot that no one else wanted. This was how Jaden got some of his 1.0 epics while never joining a raid guild. This earned him the ire of many progression raiders.

Jaden spends a lot of time exploring terrain and trying to break out of instances. Here are some of his adventures:

Yeah, if just to idle and chat with people. The game itself is horrible now so I do very little actual playing.

I haven't logged in for months. Blizzard changed too much of the game I originally fell in love with.

    I loved Vanilla and TBC.
    Wrath was mediocre.
Cataclysm is just awful. I got bored with it in a month.

I'll be coming back to battle.net for Diablo 3. Wanna play together?

I am hesitant about D3. There are too many indications that it will be dumb (like WoW).

I have been playing D2 lately. I am following a build that I created 8 years ago:

    http://www.mscclan.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9061

I am level 71 in hell diff right now.

I am playing single player. The game is so much more fun when you are unassisted.

I find most game are more fun when you play single player, with the exception of a few games. I think what I enjoy most about multiplayer is the social interaction.

Have you tried any of the new releases this year? I got Portal 2 and it was amazing. Looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever.
