really? Would my G3 support that? Doesn't that come with os 9.1 or something?

I heard Steve mention that in the keynote. Thought it was only with the new superdrives and DVDs.

My goal is to be able to just burn a disk. If I burn in the background I am sure to fail! As it is I can't burn at 4x without buffer a under-run error (I have given all it will take to not have this happen). I end up burning at 2x all the time. Really bites my ass. But I am going to download 5.0b5 after work today to see if it is worthwhile.

Is that the version that you use now?

My cheapo USB burner burns at 4x on my pc but buffer-underruns if I try that speed on my mac.

That is exactly what happens to mine. The Mac side did great till about 2 months ago. Now it under-runs unless I set it to 2x. Damn that.

the drag & drop is awesome, you put in a blank CD, it asks you to name it, then you just drop files on it like you would a floppy, click write and you're all set. full speed too :D
