Picture from a kayak trip I organized with a bunch of friends. It's a chinook salmon from Indian River which feeds Indian arm, part of an inlet connecting to Howe Sound and the Pacific in southern BC. We paddled up Indian arm, stayed two nights at a really nice site with a huge waterfall that had smoothed down the granite into an awesome slide into the lower pool and another night at one of the islands on the way. We explored the Indian River estuary, some islands at the northern end and spent most of the time either enjoying the scenery to checking out the wildlife. Lots of seals, some with cubs resting on the rocky shore which let us approach them, we also saw plenty of mergaiser ducks, a red tailed hawk and some other critters. Lots of large chinook and coho salmon in the river as well as it's approaching spawning season.
