I would advise any current Hunters we have to go ahead and switch over to using a gun. I dont normally like these because it takes away from the medieval aspect but in this one it's different. Anyways, the guns are much more plentiful and later from what I have learned are much much better. I like bows dont get me wrong, they are just in very short supply in this game and the best bows dont equal the best guns. Just a helpful hint because I wish i had switched over long before now.

I was told that Night Elves can't use guns.

I dont know who told you that but I am using one as of right now. Have my skill in it up to 214 to. So I am fairly accurate.

Yeah, guns == High damage. Even with just the regular single shot I can crit for over 200 damage, and I'm a rogue :p

Nice, you must have a high agility. If i use aimed shot I can crit for around 550-600. Blew my mind.

    Edit: no pun intended.

I read from a list on a strategy book of WoW that NE cannot train/use guns and Dwarves cannot train/use bows. I'll have to check on Bliz's site to make sure but it does seem accurate as NE are nature oriented so wouldn't use guns and Dwarves are metal oriented so wouldn't use bows.

I think they may have started it out that way. NE's get a plus agility to start out and dwarves get a plus to using guns. At our point in the game those starting + stats mean nothing. Either race can train in either weapon. The only thing hunters cant use is shields and maces (some other things to but i dont remember what). There just arent enough bows in the game later on. It sucks because I like them more just for the reason you said, it stands to reason Elves should use bows. I have a gun though and it still looks cool.
