Does OS X require you to know unix commands? Do you even have a terminal?

I'm just curious how much you'll notice the unix stuff in the OS. As much as i love the stability of unix, i don't want everything to change in OS X. I love the way Mac OS works, and i don't want it to become a unix GUI.

Honestly, i think linux is hard to use. You need to know the commands in the terminal, and then the GUIs are just weird. Advanced PC users like myself figure it out easily, but using root accounts, and those weird commands to install files isn't fun or easy. I sure hope Mac OS X doesn't go that way.

Depends on how deep you go, I think. There is a terminal, don't remember which it is, though. OS X is a bit different from classic os, much like 7 was from 6...

One of my friends is moving to Colorado where he's going to have 400Mbps service at his house. Some company out there is trying to compete with AT&T broadband. They are offering service at 400Mbps now, and over 1Gbps in the near future. It's going to be avaliable at comparable prices too.

Who wouldn't pay like $60 a month for 400Mbps service? I swear i'm gonna have to move in with this guy.

My thoughts exactly. I'll try to find that article again...it's heaven!

Hehe...just remember that the PC users and their 10/100MB ethernet won't even allow them to reach 400Mbps :) All hail G4 and gigabit ethernet!

Huh? What's this 3x AirPort all about?

Speaking of AirPort, anyone notice Stave Jobs said "AirMac" in the Tokyo keynote? hehe. Either he's not thinking straight or the next Mac is going to fly :D
