HAY GUYS WHATS UP
Re: Re: Re: How big is your monitor?
ha, bitch slap
heh lol I remember when VGA was the big thing, 320x240 (remember DOS?)
my radeon goes up to 2048x1536 or something like it... thats 4x the size of 1024x768 lol but my monitor only lets me go to 800x600
as i shouted in the shoutbox, my monitor for some reason gets too blurry to read anything unless the contrast is set way down (gets less blurry for some reason) everything has a grayish cast to it and I still can't read anything unless its font size 14.
I want my 16" back but my card won't let me select 832x624. Both the 13 and 16 support that rez, but 800x600 is the only option I can select- 832x624 isnt even grayed out, it just doent exist. So consequently it gets out of sync on the 16 b/c it tries to go to 800x600 and I cant see anythin until I force-shutdown and put the 13 back on.
damn ATi isnt open on weekends. anyone got ideas to help me?
also I dont know if this is the right number or not, i got ati canada and i dont know if they have a us phone number 1-905-882-2626
sorry to gripe. I HAD A 21" ONCE BUT IT EXPLODED, LITERALLY!!! (i did tell you about that, right?)
i didnt hear the story Do tell!!!
Hrm seems my ruler joke was deleted. Heh.
I have a 17" with the G4 and a 15" TFT with the PC.
ahh well SuperStar, my old 21" always buzzed for no apparent reason. then one day it just stopped working, just POP and that was it. then it saw smoke coming out the back and this nasty plastic-burning smell... turns out the power source was arcing (the buzz) and something happened (spark?) that hit something else important.
seems like your avatar....
it was one of those old huge Apple CRT displays... it weighed about 80 pounds. None of my friends liked it except me coz they couldnt get used to the buzz... oh well, it's dead now and I'm back to square one... damn 13"
Was it the one that's shaped like an iMac?
Exact same thing happened to me, one of those old giant 17" ones. It just blew up one day with a load *POP* and I'm back to my REALLY old 15" monitor with all my old stickers on it and everything. I feel so high school. I found a nice Princeton Graphics one that I'm going to get, but I have to wait until the summer is over and all those summer expenses go down (damn oil prices).
go play diablo, you necromancer.
