I just hope it's better than the old BBC version. That totally blew. There were parts in there you couldn't understand without having the book in front of you. Sometimes I think that's how they did it.
I'll probably see it.
omg hilarity ensues
is that owen wilson as Zaphod?
god, I need a new computer
Looks ok.. Not my type of movie.
it's Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Matchstick Men, Green Mile...etc..etc)
I will see this movie because the books rocked (except the third, it was kind of lame =\).
Which one was the third again? Out of the (what was it... 5?) books in the trilogy I enjoyed So Long and Thanks for all the Fish the most
hehe... prolly go see that!
It´ll most likely suck... It bugs me they´re going to have a black guy play Ford Prefect, it doesn´t mesh with the image of Ford I have... not the slightest.
It will rock.
if he's a good actor, he can play Ford fine. My image of Ford was something like a comedy version of Harrison Ford, and even that didn't suit me.
I'm so seeing this.
Dont have high expectations going in to see it and it will be great.
Also... I demand british accents!
UNLESS HE IS AN ESKIMO, IT WILL NOT MATCH MY VISION OF HIM!1! I'M OFF TO MAKE A PETITION!!111!!
I'm with ya on that one, but it looks like it'll be pretty good anyways.
The only 2 "main" characters who have a legitimate reason for having "must-have" British accents are Arthur and Trillian. Ford to a lesser extent, trying to fit in and all, but it's debatable what "his" British accent would sound like. It is hard to imagine them pulling off any semblance of the extremely British colored tones of the entire work without the accents, but, oh well, what are you going to do. They'll make what they make.
Did you even read the books? They didn´t make Gandalf chinese, did they? And Gimli wasn´t played by a 2m NBA star.
Respect to the author, that is what I seek.
