I'm not getting any sound from os x 4k50 with my internal speakers!
Zap the Pram. It's the sound manager software...
I'll lose all my settings!
zapping the PRAM will prolly fix that. You only loose a couple settings like date and time, and chooser settings you have like printers. That's about it.
You also loose your General Controls settings. No biggie.
How will zapping the PRAM fix a problem in os x??
I just read that 4k50 is extremely broken and not fit for use. Maybe that's the problem.
The first blue chunck of text on this review of 4k56 talks about how broken 4k50 is.
4k56 is out? uh oh. looks like another all-nighter for capn auto
All the k builds are done. They're on to L builds now.
yeah, but i didnt know it had leaked yet.
4k56 is freaking way better than anything else according to that article. ahem... *wink, wink*nudge, nudge*. Auto? Cow? hehe.
heheh.. i have that one. guess i should install it
Auto you have it?.... get it on Cow's server.... geez.... I want I want
Because the OS stores values it needs in Pram. There's all sorts of hidden settings, some of which are incompatible with standard OS9. I had a swap bay hooked up to my comp running the public beta and when I switched from the PB to the drive w/ OS9, I had to do a pram reset or it wouldn't boot (Beige G3).
