Just wanted to see if there was any interest in doing PvP as a group one or two nights a week. Joining as a group lengthens your queue times, but that is offset by the fact that an organized group will be more competitive and get better honor than pugs. There are some decent rewards to be had, both through rank and reputation.

Just wondering. PvP is not for everyone, so if you're not into it that's cool. It's very different from PvE and it takes a while to learn how to deal with the different classes. And if you're squishy like Firemane, you'll get used to getting ganked almost immediately by the good horde teams. (And having one or two classes, like warlocks, against which you are almost totally helpless.)

just curious, what do warlocks do to you that makes them so unbeatable? keep in mind that most mages i pvp with have both cold snap and iceblock to remove the dots, and are undead.

I have had little success with coordinating pvp groups... it's very hard.

I have none of those things. I can only remove the curses, not the magic. They have too much life to kill them before they can dot + fear you. Fear kills... it's the only CC that isn't broken when damage is taken, and it lasts a long time.

It will be easier if the group is all or mostly MSC. We all like each other.

I am a human, fire-specced mage. Like Jake said, Fear + Dots are killer. Death Coil is insanely overpowered, and Felhunters are specifically made to eat my mage alive while I run around helpless. (While we're on the subject, I need to spend TWO talent points to get counter + silence. All Locks have to do is buy a book. A pet peeve of mine.)

fear has a good chance to break early on damage, and rarely lasts the full duration (when was the last time you saw a polymorph last the full duration? same thing)

they have to buy a book, and have the proper pet out. i dont know any warlocks that run around with their felhunter, most use imp 90% of the time.

and yes, i agree that the new death coil is pretty hardcore. although i think it was necessary, since warlocks had no way to get rid of people who are up in their face. (dont say fear, every class has a way to prevent/break it - trinket or ability)

Never, because it breaks immediately when some one accidentally hits it. :p

Not the same thing. Fear can take damage, sheep cannot.

Come play on Hyjal. I actually love seeing locks with their little firebolt peashooter out. It means I actually have a chance to beat them because the imp can safely be ignored.

Death Coil does a little more than get range for the warlock. It's DPS and CC and Healing with one button (and, incidentally, is boosted by the same two trinkets mages are vilified for using).

Not to mention that poly is the only CC that heals. By the way, it can be broken (trinket or ability) by all but two of the classes, one of which is a pet class.

You forgot to mention that if they spec demonology they can instant charm you and set up for some insane dmg.

I wouldn't be in it for honor, but I would do it for faction.

Bring it over to Hyjal, dude, and we'll see who gets victimized.

It worked though, right? We've moved ahead of rogues and shamans on the class review list. :D

    Yes. Must. Get. Ironbark. Staff.

I would be interested, but it would have to be at night. I just hate being squishy when I PVP. I always get killed by rogues.
